		<description>thank you so much.. this is the main reason I was moving to Opera.. (I&#039;m talking about FireFox&#039;s Windows port performance) and I&#039;m still waiting for the release of Chrome and what becomes of it. I&#039;ll test FF2 on Windows 2000 and report if it doesn&#039;t work. I hope the releases are portable (in the sense that I don&#039;t have to reinstall the app when I reinstall my OS) but it seems so, which is great. saved me a lot of trouble. Thanks a lot again</description>

Yes. All libraries that Firefox uses are static. It can increase speed-up a little bit. However, official build use dynamic libraries. That&#039;s why the size of firefox.exe has such difference.</description>
