etheral is showing me this build is passing info (on periodical basis) to to some china’s servers (acording to IP), strange…I already disabled it in FW…
so beware ppl when using these build for paypal/credit card info…
ALLWAYS use official builds, never “modified ones”, whoever makes them, it’s the easiest trojan you can get
Hi blade runner,
Passing info to china site is my expected behavior, especially I’m in Taiwan, not China.
I’ve built unofficial builds since 2004, and I’ve *NEVER* gotten any benefit from that.
I guess if you used official build, the situation would also occurs. In most cases, it’s caused by extensions that includes adware, like Google Reader Notifier.
If you confirm it’s surely caused by my build, please attach ethereal captured log to me (pigfoot_AT_gmail_com), then I will give you the cause as I can.
Thanks for the optimized build as usual. I had been waiting for your release since I noticed the availability of 3.5.4.
Great work thanks Pigfoot i just tested the portable edition and it’s smooth and fast .
I am new to this builds so can any one tell me how do i install the none portable to my x64 pc plz
matar, AFAIK you can “install” Pigfoot’s optimized Firefox by replacing your (official) Firefox content with Pigfoot’s contents.
I have not uninstalled Firefox through this method, so I cannot vouch that it is a 100% sure-fire thing.
This method will allow all Firefox shortcuts to work with the optimized build. (Or you can just make the Portable Firefox your default browser?)
Thank you Stan .
I will try this method and about the portable ; my system won’t allow me to make it default even if i choose it as my default browser … its always IE8 :P
Thanks again for your reply
Hey, where are the builds for Linux?
what does it mean you’re supporting the update channel?
once installed will I get security update via menu?
or I need to download the whole .zip firefox again?
halooooo, if I’m going to install FF to my clients I need to know whether the auto-update feature is working!
otherwise absolutely no point for this build! (ppl aren’s so skilled to install it themselves!)
@ Derek – You will have to do the updates manually – These do not have that feature
I can’t wait for you to do 3.6 builds :)
Please do Firefox 3.6b4 optimized builds! :]
Pigfoot, to my knowledge, doesn’t do beta builds. That’s not his ‘game’. Only optimized finals.
Can I really upgrade my current 3.5.5 installation with yours without any side-effects?
http://www.binaryturf.com/free-software/blazing-fast-firefox-optimized-distributions/
There are optimized 3.6 beta distributions at that URL. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to be done as well as pigfoot’s.
Hi pigfoot,
nice work but one question: if i load a webpage where the very same picture (with the same url) appears several times, why does it load that pic several times from the webserver, rather than only loading once? that would make it a lot quicker!
Great work… Hope for more updates

Firefox 3.5.6在2009/12/16公布,Firefox 3.6停留在Beta4階段
the above links for english version appear to broken. Where can I download the portable version?
thanks.
Firefox 3.5.6 is available now, but not present in http://ftp.twaren.net/local-distfiles/pigfoot/firefox/localizedbuilds/en_US/3.5/ yet.
希望 Portable 版本的 能改 可以 設定成預設瀏覽器..
Thank god your are back, almost thought you wouldn’t continue your projects. Will you continue with new updates of firefox?
Happy new year!

Firefox 3.5.7 is available now.
Happy New Year , PigFoot
Plase release Firefox 3.5.7!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you…..
Firefox 3.6b are at http://ftp.twaren.net/local-distfiles/pigfoot/firefox/localizedbuilds/en_US/3.6/
My machine hosting this blog had crashed for a while. Now finally it’s back.
I’m try to build Firefox 3.5.7, so they will be released after two or three days.
Thanks for everyone’s patience.
ur good man pigfoot
blog finally is back, Congratulations!
I was almost afraid that pigfoot is gone forever. Great to have you back!
Thank God, pigfoot you are back!
And just now you can find the 3.5.7 builds here temporarily at
http://ftp.twaren.net/local-distfiles/pigfoot/firefox/archives/
(en_US, zh_TW, zh_CN builds are okay)
I am now using 3.5.7 zh_TW P2 build!
Picking up the new build now, thanks! :)
The new 3.6 RC1 pigfoot release is posted on:
http://ftp.twaren.net/local-distfiles/pigfoot/firefox/localizedbuilds/en_US/3.6/
I’m running it now – don’t forget, if it doesn’t hold the default browser setting, copy the uninstall folder/ and all files, from a regular Mozilla dist. to the pigfoot install directory – Now it will ‘hold’ as default browser.
Thanks pigfoot !
:)
Hello,
I’m very interested with your builds, but I have yet to see the 3.7 series get optimized. I am currently using 3.7 (Minefield) and it is (IMO) much faster than 3.6. It would be greatly appreciated if you are able to optimize 3.7.
Thanks,
BV
